Reflections

I look into my eyes
And see reflections
Of what could be
If we let our love survive
And we're together for eternity.

You're so loving with your soft spoken voice-
And ah! The gentleness of your touch
Causes me to wonder
How one could love this much.

Is this the beginning for us
Or will it be the end?
Will our love be tossed aside
Like leaves blowing in the wind?

The days have passed too quickly
For you and I.
Only yesterday we were saying hello
And all too soon we'll be saying goodbye.

Is the reflection only what I see in MY heart?
Is this the way it has to be?
That our time has come for us to part?
Is it as hard for you as it is for me?

Will we again be together
To make our dreams come true?
Or will we only see reflections of
The love I shared with you?
